Description
A peanut is basically two massage balls joined together. The join in the middle is just wide and deep enough for the spinous processes of your spine to fit into. This makes them a brilliant halfway point between roller and massage ball. A roller will successfully mobilise your spinous processes as you roll up and down on it in a supine position. A massage ball is great for targeting your paraspinals that run up the sides of your spinal column. A spinal massage ball can be oscillated in all directions to find the right spot. You can roll up and down lying on a peanut in supine. It will gradually mobilise the small facet joints of your spine and the joints between your spine and ribs. This can be done with two massage balls, although there is an obvious benefit to using your peanut over two massage balls. A massage ball will roll in any direction. A peanut only rolls in a controlled direction.
