Your upper back is comprised of your thoracic spine and rib cage. The thoracic spine is the second segment of your spine. It consists of 12 vertebrae and their intervertebral discs.
Together they form your thoracic motion segments. There are bony processes to the back (spinous process), and to both sides (transverse process) of each of your thoracic vertebrae.
Along with your rib cage, these processes form the bony lumps n bumps of your upper back. The processes exist to provide attachment sites for the connective tissue and muscles.
All these attachments place differing forces across your upper back, causing strain and tightness to acumulate. Eventually this can ead to flare ups that affect your upper back mobility.
We will enable you to regain your upper back mobility. Many of the common conditions found in your upper back can be easily resolved within a few treatment sessions.
